This fundraiser hosted by the Monocacy Composite Youth Mountain Bike Team will showcase two short films highlighting how mountain biking is helping riders in underserved communities:

  • “In The Dirt” is a 45-minute documentary film about a group of passionate Native American cyclists who attempt to bring the sport of mountain biking to the Navajo Nation, where no bike shops exist.
  • “Trailblazer” – DeAngelo Washington thought baseball was his ticket out of poverty, but after a major injury he discovers an unlikely sport – mountain biking. Facing criticism from his own community, he struggles to become one of the fastest downhill racers alive, and prove mountain biking is a viable path wherever you’re from.
