Weinberg Center Rentals FAQ
For typical theater events, we can accommodate up to 1183 people seated in the auditorium. The lobby area can comfortably accommodate 120 people standing.
For parties where seating is requested, we can accommodate 64 people in the lobby area, 24 people in the mezzanine area (no elevator access), and 120 people on the stage.
Auditorium: 1,183 (of which 414 seats are in balcony with no elevator access)

Each Additional Performance
- Commercial/Individual: $4,000.00 + 10% of gross ticket sales

Rehearsal/Tech Prep Day (up to 12 hours)
- Commercial/Individual: $1,150.00 1st Day, $700.00 each additional day
- Non-Profit: $1,150.00 + 10% of gross ticket sales

New Spire Arts Rentals FAQ
In our lobby area, we can accommodate up to 120 people for a cocktail style event or 60 people with a banquet style (tables and chairs) set-up.
In the theater, we can typically accommodate 218 for a performance set-up. The theater can accommodate 200 people in a banquet style set-up, however, this necessitates the removal of our risers which is an extra cost.
Yes, New Spire Arts possesses a liquor license permitting the service of alcohol at your event. All alcoholic beverages must be supplied, served, and vended exclusively by New Spire Arts. Bringing your own alcoholic beverages is prohibited. Only beer and wine are permitted; hard liquor is not allowed.
We suggest reaching out to us at least 8 weeks in advance of your preferred event date. However, the sooner you get in touch, the greater flexibility we’ll have in terms of available dates. Contacting us fewer than 8 weeks before your event date may limit our ability to fulfill all your event needs.
We recommend first downloading and reading the full rental rates and guidelines document. Then, contact Manager of Operations and Production Laura Hawk ([email protected]) for questions, date availability, etc.
Once you’ve reached out to us, we’ll gather details about your event requirements and draft a contract accordingly. To confirm your reservation for the date, we’ll require the signed contract along with a 50% deposit of the rental fee. Please note that this deposit is nonrefundable.
Rental rates vary depending on many factors, including the day of the event, whether the renter is a non-profit entity, how many performances are scheduled, whether there is a separate rehearsal day, and whether your event is a performance, private party, business meeting, or wedding.
Please note that final rental fees are determined after your event, and include 10% of your gross ticket sales (if a public, ticketed event) and all fees associated with use of equipment and the number of tech personnel working your event.

- Labor for all set-ups and cleaning by New Spire Arts personnel is NOT included. There is an additional $400.00 charge for removal and set up of risers and chairs and an additional $200 for removal of the platform stage.

- Monday-Thursday Single Performance: 75/25% gross door split
- Friday-Sunday Single Performance: 70/30% gross door split
- Same Day Additional Performance: 85/15% gross door split
- Rehearsal/Tech Prep Day (7-hour time blocks, limit 2 blocks per day):$75 1st time block, $50 each additional time block
Annual Income $50,001-$125,000
- Monday-Thursday Single Performance: $300 + 20% gross
- Friday-Sunday Single Performance: $450 + 20% gross
- Same Day Additional Performance: $250 + 10% gross
- Rehearsal/Tech Prep Day (7-hour time blocks, limit 2 blocks per day): $85 1st time block, $60 each additional time block
Annual Income $125,001-$200,000
- Monday-Thursday Single Performance: $500 +15% gross
- Friday-Sunday Single Performance: $700 + 15% gross
- Same Day Additional Performance: $300 + 10% gross
- Rehearsal/Tech Prep Day (7-hour time blocks, limit 2 blocks per day): $100 1st time block; $75 each additional time block
Annual Income $200,001-$500,000
- Monday-Thursday Single Performance: $700 + 15% gross
- Friday-Sunday Single Performance: $1,000 + 10% gross
- Same Day Additional Performance: $400 + 10% gross
- Rehearsal/Tech Prep Day (7-hour time blocks, limit 2 blocks per day): $150 1st time block; $100 each additional time block
Annual Income Above $500,001
- Monday-Thursday Single Performance: $800 + 15% gross
- Friday-Sunday Single Performance: $1,200 + 10% gross
- Same Day Additional Performance: $500 + 10% gross
- Rehearsal/Tech Prep Day (7-hour time blocks, limit 2 blocks per day): $250 1st time block; $125 each additional time block
Note: Nonprofit Organizations will be asked to share their most recent 990 or equivalent tax form
Individual Artist/ Small Unincorporated Group Performance Rate
- 70/30% gross door split or $200 whichever is higher
- Must make >$50,000 from performances and be unincorporated. Limit 4 performance dates in a calendar year
Note: Individual Artist/Small Unincorporated Groups will be required to sign a document stating that they make less than $50,000 a year from performing and are unincorporated.
