Other Voices Inc. brings to Frederick a new, original adaptation of The Wizard of Oz! Dorothy, Toto, and other well-known favorites land on the Weinberg stage, and audiences will be thrilled to meet new characters pulled from the original works of L. Frank Baum. The Wizard of Oz is the perfect family event for the Easter holiday weekend with 2 hours of high-energy dance, music, special effects, and clever dialogue as you travel from Kansas to the Emerald City and back again with Dorothy and friends!

The production features theatergoer favorites from the tri-state area including, Steve Steele (Wizard of Oz), Dominic Massimino (Cowardly Lion), Dan Henderson (Tinman), Shawn Nakia (Scarecrow), Adam Blackstock (Toto), Amanda Patten (Glinda), Taylor Whidden (Wicked Witch of the West), and introducing Alaina Jackson as Dorothy.

Support the Weinberg

The Weinberg Center is an institution of value to Frederick. It is a vital part of the economic life of Downtown Frederick, attracting more than 85,000 patrons annually who visit shops, restaurants, and local stores. Furthermore, the Weinberg provides educational programs to over 8,000 Frederick county school children each year. And the Weinberg continues to bring world-class performing artists to the heart of downtown Frederick for our community to enjoy. We are committed to keeping ticket prices affordable for our community. So to cover the costs of the arts we present, the Weinberg — like theaters nationally — must find other sources of support. Please consider making a contribution to this historic theater.
