National String Symphonia

The National String Symphonia (NSS) is celebrating 10 years of making beautiful string music and is excited to present some of the most popular selections from their first 10 seasons.  This concert is definitely one that you don’t want to miss so plan to attend and celebrate with the NSS!

Founded in 2013, the National String Symphonia is a fully professional symphonic string orchestra. Their mission is to preserve, promote, and present string orchestra music. Many ensembles do not program this repertoire for a variety of reasons, including its relative obscurity and its musical complexity, as well as basic challenges in obtaining performance materials.

Their goal is to reach beyond the archetypical orchestra audience and become an integral part of the musical life of listeners at all ages and stages. They seek to innovate the concert experience, and are exploring new and different ways of presenting the music – including the use of video elements and educational presentations. They strive to increase accessibility to and relevance of the music while ensuring high-caliber performances.
