A Vibrant Voice in Contemporary African Music

TolumiDE delivers an intimate and uplifting live experience that blends soul, Afropop, Gospel, and contemporary African rhythms. Born in Toronto, shaped by Lagos, and now based in the greater Washington, D.C.–Maryland area, she brings a rich multicultural energy to the stage through her signature sound, weaving English and Yorùbá vocals with themes of joy, faith, love, and cultural identity.

TolumiDE’s performances are warm, engaging, and deeply connected, moving effortlessly between reflective moments and joyful, rhythmic grooves that invite audiences in. Drawing from her latest album, Suya Soul, and charting single “Throwback,” she creates a space where tradition and modern sound meet, encouraging audiences to feel, move, and connect.

This is more than a concert—it’s a shared experience of rhythm, storytelling, and cultural celebration that resonates across generations. Learn more about TolumiDE on her official website.

This engagement of TolumiDE is supported in part by the Maryland State Arts Council (msac.org).

Tickets for this event go on sale to Members on Thursday, May 21 at 10:00 am EST and on sale to the Public on Tuesday, May 26 at 10:00 am EST.

Support the Weinberg

The Weinberg Center is an institution of value to Frederick. It is a vital part of the economic life of Downtown Frederick, attracting more than 85,000 patrons annually who visit shops, restaurants, and local stores. Furthermore, the Weinberg provides educational programs to over 8,000 Frederick county school children each year. And the Weinberg continues to bring world-class performing artists to the heart of downtown Frederick for our community to enjoy. We are committed to keeping ticket prices affordable for our community. So to cover the costs of the arts we present, the Weinberg — like theaters nationally — must find other sources of support. Please consider making a contribution to this historic theater.
