The Arts & Economy Prosperity 6 study was a national study examining policies and practices in grantmaking, many of which have been historically and systemically unbalanced. Dr. Genna Styles-Lyas, Director of LAA Community Engagement & Equity in Research, Americans for the Arts presents an in depth and interactive session to lead to identifying possible solutions for our organizations and community engagement.

Genna is looking forward to making an impact in her new title and expanded role as the Director of LAA Community Engagement and Equity in Research. For over twelve years Genna worked as a Teaching Artist for arts organizations locally and nationally. Genna has most recently served as the Education & Engagement Program Manager at Everyman Theatre. Support the Weinberg

The Weinberg Center is an institution of value to Frederick. It is a vital part of the economic life of Downtown Frederick, attracting more than 85,000 patrons annually who visit shops, restaurants, and local stores. Furthermore, the Weinberg provides educational programs to over 8,000 Frederick county school children each year. And the Weinberg continues to bring world-class performing artists to the heart of downtown Frederick for our community to enjoy. We are committed to keeping ticket prices affordable for our community. So to cover the costs of the arts we present, the Weinberg — like theaters nationally — must find other sources of support. Please consider making a contribution to this historic theater.
