Join us for the 38th Annual All-County Fifth Grade Honors Chorus!

Frederick County Public Schools is proud to invite the community to attend the 38th Annual All-County Fifth Grade Honors Chorus Concert.  125 students from elementary schools will present a wonderful repertoire of music at the Weinberg Center for the Arts.  Tickets for this event are $6 for adults and $3 for students; senior citizens ages 60 and above, children 4 and under, and FCPS employees with their ID badge are admitted FREE (these tickets are available at the box office, in-person only). Ticket prices support the arts in Frederick County public schools.

Fifth graders were selected through an audition process to represent each elementary school in the county and rehearse weekly with their school music teachers.  These students represent the finest voices and character at our concert, and have shown the initiative, love and community experiences of ensemble performers.  For one day before the concert, they meet and rehearse with their fellow ensemble members along with the guest conductor, Alaina Swartz, Director of Education and Community Engagement for the Bach Choir of Bethlehem.  The rehearsal continues the day of the concert before the presentation of the program.

Support the Weinberg

The Weinberg Center is an institution of value to Frederick. It is a vital part of the economic life of Downtown Frederick, attracting more than 85,000 patrons annually who visit shops, restaurants, and local stores. Furthermore, the Weinberg provides educational programs to over 8,000 Frederick county school children each year. And the Weinberg continues to bring world-class performing artists to the heart of downtown Frederick for our community to enjoy. We are committed to keeping ticket prices affordable for our community. So to cover the costs of the arts we present, the Weinberg — like theaters nationally — must find other sources of support. Please consider making a contribution to this historic theater.
