The 5th Annual Seed to Roots Performance & Art Showcase celebrates the next generation of artists, storytellers, and performers as they honor Black history and culture through the arts. This inspiring event brings together K-12 students for an unforgettable evening of creativity, community, and cultural expression.
About Seed to Roots
Now in its fifth year, Seed to Roots has grown into one of Frederick’s best youth arts events, offering young performers and visual artists the opportunity to develop their talents while paying tribute to Black heritage. The program provides a platform for students to explore self-expression through music, dance, spoken word, theater, and visual arts.
What to Expect
- Live Performances – Experience a powerful showcase of student talent, featuring original performances that celebrate culture, history, and artistic innovation.
- Art Exhibition – Explore a gallery of student-created artwork inspired by Black heritage, displayed throughout the venue.
- A Meaningful Mission – Proceeds from ticket sales directly fund scholarships for students to attend performing arts camps and training programs, ensuring that young artists have the resources they need to continue their creative journeys.
