Fall is in full swing and winter is just around the corner. That’s right, it’s already November… and over at the Weinberg, we’re all thankful for everything happening this month at the theater. Here’s just a few events that you won’t want to miss:

1 | Experience The Commonheart in this month’s pay-what-you-want performance

Gritty vocals, rocking riffs, and brass horns all come together with this month’s Trivoli Discovery Series act, The Commonheart! Don’t miss the massive 10-piece band as they blend the best of blues, soul, and gospel music. November 2 at 7:30pm

2 | Bask in an evening of bluegrass with Dailey & Vincent 

One of America’s most exciting bluegrass duos, Dailey & Vincent, are coming to the Weinberg! Don’t miss out on the one-of-a-kind Grammy-nominated duo hailed by CMT as “the rock stars of bluegrass.” November 3 at 8:00pm

3 | Celebrate America’s veterans with “Pershing’s Own”

Celebrate Veteran’s Day with The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own” as the 65-piece band honors veterans with an evening of classic music, as well as popular favorites and instrumental features. November 11 at 7:30pm

4 | Watch Simply Three bring two musical worlds together

Old school training meets new school sound when the “highly imaginative” (Maine Today) trio Simply Three returns. The string trio has captivated international audiences with their classical spin on modern hits, including Adele, Coldplay, and more! November 17 at 8:00pm

5 | The MADS bring movie-riffing madness to the theater

“Mystery Science Theater 3000” madmen Frank Conniff and Trace Beaulieu team up once again to take on the worst movies ever made with live comedic riffing. You won’t want to miss this night of madness, or the free meet-and-greet after the show! November 18 at 3:00pm and 8:00pm

6 | Catch the spirit of the season with Lightwire Theater

The “America’s Got Talent” take Frederick by storm with an electrifying holiday event. With dancing toy soldiers, caroling worms, and performing poinsettias, you won’t want to miss this magical show hailed by Rolling Stone as “absolutely incredible.” November 24 at 2:00pm

7 | Weinberg Winterfest is back!

The beloved Weinberg tradition is back! This year’s Winterfest features caroling along with our mighty Wurlitzer organ, a showing of the classic silent film “Soup to Nuts,” and we’ll even be joined by Santa and Mrs. Claus! November 25 at 3:00pm

8 | Ring in the holiday spirit with Chanticleer

Don’t miss Chanticleer – hailed by The New Yorker as “the world’s reigning male chorus” – as they kick off the holidays with old and new favorites. With their blend of classical and jazz, the “precise, pure, and deeply felt singing” of this choral group is not to be missed! November 28 at 7:30pm

9 | Edward Scissorhands is back on the big screen

Flying Dog’s film series continues with a viewing of the 1990 cult classic “Edward Scissorhands.” Tim Burton’s story follows a gentle man with scissors for hands who’s brought into a new community after a life lived in isolation. Don’t forget to come early for happy hour before the movie! November 29 at 7:30pm

10 | Finish off the month with a rockin’ night of holiday favorites

Your favorite holiday tunes are coming to the Weinberg, but with a new twist thanks to Ornament! The 11-piece orchestral tribute group faithfully reproduces the acclaimed sound, sights, and spectacles of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. November 30 at 7:30pm
