It’s Giving Tuesday, and we need your help!

We’re all doing our best to thrive during one of the most difficult years in recent memory. Our stage has been dark for the last several months, but we are looking forward to reopening our doors when it is safe to do so – and we need your help to make that happen. If you’re passionate about the arts in Frederick County, please consider making a donation to the Weinberg Center today.

Your gift does extraordinary things!

You don’t have to be a billionaire to give back. Giving Tuesday is about ordinary people coming together to do extraordinary things. Your ticket purchases have been the primary source of funding for the Weinberg Center mission – but the Weinberg Center cannot rely on that this year. Your donations and memberships are more important than ever. In addition to helping provide a showcase for both world-class and emerging artists, your giving also helps provide arts education programs for over 8,000 area schoolchildren a year.  You can help continue to “pay it forward” for the next generation of artists and audiences.

Even more opportunities to make an impact!

FCB Bank has offered us a generous matching challenge grant if we can raise $2,000 in donations and new memberships during the holiday season! Every new or increased gift will double its impact through this generous matching gift. You can help us beginning on December 1st by:

  • Making a one-time donation
  • Making a mid-season upgrade to your existing membership (all memberships purchased between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021 will be extended by six months)
  • Becoming a new member for as little as $35 (all memberships purchased between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021 will be extended by six months)

Whether you decide to participate in Giving Tuesday or join the FCB Bank Matching Challenge, the gifts are invaluable. They help keep the arts affordable and accessible in Frederick County.  Thank you for being a part of the Weinberg Center family – without you the show would not go on!

For further information, or to make a standard donation rather than purchase a membership, please contact Rebecca O’Leary at or 301.600.2870.
